We are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join the shopfloor team at a busy manufacturing company in Coventry. This is a hands-on roleworking with materials and machinery.
Hours: 6am-2pm Monday to Friday however, you must be prepared to do 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm during busy periods.
Pay rate: £12.83 per hour paid weekly
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a slitting machine to cut materials accurately
- Cutting and preparing materials to required specifications
- Working on the shop floor as part of a team
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Requirements:
- Good level of common sense and practical thinking
- Experience operating a slitting machine preferred but not essential
- Experience operating and setting machinery preferred but not essential
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to support shift work when required
