Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Days)
Salary: £56,800
Location: Gloucester
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a heavy food/FMCG environment with a stable days-based shift pattern.
The Role
You will be part of a team of three engineers, responsible for maintaining and improving a range of mechanical and some electrical equipment within a busy production environment.
We are ideally looking for a Multi skilled Engineer with strong fault-finding and preventative maintenance experience.
Key Responsibilities

Maintenance and repair of conveyors, motors, pumps, belts and gearboxes

Working with hydraulics and pneumatics

Fault finding on single and 3-phase systems

Working with sensors and relays

Maintenance of roll briggs, packaging machinery, silos

Servicing and repair of blowers, balers and compressors

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Ensuring minimal downtime and efficient production output
About You
-
NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent)

Strong background within heavy food manufacturing or FMCG
-
Proactive, reliable and team-focused

Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Package

Salary: £56,800

Pension: 3% employer / 5% employee

Holidays: 22 days + Bank Holidays

Hours: Double Days (6-3 and 1-10)
