Job Overview
- The role will offer a variation in work that will include maintenance – planned and reactive, projects and installations.
- All tasks to be performed in line within Company and legal Health and Safety procedures.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION – TASK RELATED
Maintenance Tasks
- To ensure the following tasks as required are carried out: –
- Day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery
- Perform planned preventative maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring that all logs and job sheets are filled in as required.
- All reported faults are logged and acted on
- Check sheets filled in.
- Post work sheets filled in.
- Breakdowns kept to a minimum.
Sourcing and stocking spare parts
- Ensure replacement parts are available as required, when following the planned maintenance plan.
- Maintain a list of consumables and suppliers.
Breakdowns
- Taking instructions from the Maintenance Manager, ensure we minimize down time during plant breakdowns at Manton Wood Mill.
Planned Maintenance
- Following the planned maintenance schedule and after agreement with the Maintenance Manager carry out the tasks requested to minimize breakdowns and loss of production.
Modifications
- Carry out any modifications required and in accordance with all safety rules and regulations.
Safety
- To ensure all duties are carried out safely and with the highest concern for others on the site.
- To work to current Health and Safety regulations and to wear appropriate safety equipment.
- To be aware of handling instructions for Raw Materials and of Finished Product MSDS sheets.
- To alert the other staff when a safety issue is perceived.
- To undertake responsibilities in emergency response/crisis situations as required
- Ensure all plants are isolated before carrying out any work.
- Ensure permits to work are used and followed.
Other Duties
- Maintain all working areas in a clean and safe condition to protect products from cross contamination from equipment.
- Hold regular progress meetings with Maintenance Manager
Safety
- Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality and Environmental Management System and Health and Safety Policies.
Skills and Experience
- Enthusiastic.
- Good time keeping.
- Willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills
- Driving license advantage
Salary : Up to £35k per annum
