An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a successful and growing manufacturing business in a senior leadership capacity.
This role offers the chance to lead and develop a high-performing maintenance function, driving reliability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across a fast-paced manufacturing operation. You will play a key role in shaping maintenance strategy, improving plant performance, and supporting future investment projects.
Reporting into senior site leadership, you will have the opportunity to influence business performance through effective maintenance management, engineering best practices, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the maintenance team, including supervisors and multi-skilled engineers.
- Drive equipment reliability, plant availability, and overall operational performance.
- Promote a strong health, safety and compliance culture across all maintenance activities.
- Develop and enhance preventative, predictive and reliability-centred maintenance programmes.
- Deliver measurable improvements in uptime, efficiency, and maintenance performance.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining operational excellence.
- Manage maintenance planning activities and optimise CMMS utilisation.
- Support CAPEX projects, equipment upgrades and future site improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with Operations and senior leadership teams to achieve site-wide KPI targets.
- Drive continuous improvement activities and embed engineering best practices throughout the business.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An engineering qualification supported by significant maintenance leadership experience within manufacturing.
- Proven experience managing maintenance managers, supervisors, or large multi-skilled engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of TPM, PPM, CBM, RCM and modern reliability engineering principles.
- Experience using CMMS systems, with SAP knowledge advantageous.
- A demonstrable track record of improving plant reliability, reducing downtime and delivering operational performance improvements.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to develop teams and drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
