PMR
Our client is seeking a technically strong, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to join a brand-new, flagship PBSA development in London, set to open this year.
This is a rare opportunity to be part of a major, high-profile launch – a large scale scheme featuring modern building systems and complex plant infrastructure.
Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in leading a small team while remaining hands-on across building systems. This is not a purely supervisory role – you'll be actively involved in plant, HVAC, and technical maintenance, helping to ensure the asset operates smoothly from day one.
If you enjoy problem-solving, taking ownership, and working in a technically advanced environment, this role offers the perfect platform to step up and make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a small team of Maintenance Operatives, allocating tasks and monitoring performance
- Carry out hands-on PPM and reactive maintenance, particularly across HVAC, plant rooms, and mechanical systems
- Diagnose and resolve faults across fan coil units, pumps, ventilation systems, and building plant
- Conduct routine inspections of plant rooms, communal areas, and building systems
- Support site compliance including fire safety, Legionella checks, and H&S procedures
- Work closely with contractors, ensuring works are delivered safely and to a high standard
- Maintain accurate records on CAFM systems and ensure completion of all tasks
- Collaborate with front-of-house and wider teams to deliver a high-quality resident experience
- Step in to support the Maintenance Manager when required
Your Requirements:
- Experience in a maintenance, facilities, or building services role (residential, PBSA, hotel, or commercial)
- Strong hands-on technical capability, particularly across HVAC systems, pumps, and plant rooms
- Experience with fan coil units (FCUs), PPMs, and basic fault finding is highly desirable
- Some leadership or supervisory experience – or a strong desire to step up into your first supervisory role
- Good understanding of health & safety, compliance, and building systems
- Able to take ownership, prioritise tasks, and work effectively under pressure
- Friendly and professional approach with strong communication skills
What's in it for you:
- Join a flagship London development from launch – make your mark from day one
- Work in a technically advanced building with modern plant systems (great for skill progression)
- Clear opportunity to step into or strengthen your supervisory experience
- Be part of a growing, well-backed operator with long-term career opportunities
- Gain exposure to a large, complex asset (1,500+ beds)
- Collaborative team culture with real ownership and responsibility
