Management Accountant
Plymouth/ Hybrid (2 days in office) – £45,000 – £50,000 – Full time – Temp
If you’re an experienced finance professional looking for a role with real impact, this opportunity could be ideal. I’m working exclusively with a high-profile organisation based in Plymouth that operates across several small trading entities and requires an adaptable Management Accountant to join their established finance team.
This position will support a busy head of finance and oversee day to day accounting tasks, including:
– Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs, maintaining tight financial controls and accurate cost allocations.
– Bank reconciliations, cashflow forecasting and consolidation of trading entities to deliver clear, timely reporting to stakeholders.
– Overseeing VAT returns, inter-company transactions and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
– Assisting with annual budgeting and forecasting, and contributing to ongoing process improvements and system development.
– Working closely with an analyst and bookkeeper in a small, friendly finance team, and liaising with operational managers to provide support across the group.
The ideal candidate will be newly or nearly qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), though QBE applicants with strong relevant experience will be considered. Experience working with modern ERP systems such as Xero or similar cloud-based platforms would be a distinct advantage.
This role is urgent, with the successful candidate ideally starting as soon as next week. It offers a dynamic working environment, variety across multiple entities, and the opportunity to grow with the business.
This position could also suit an Assistant Management Accountant seeking the next step, a strong Finance Analyst with reporting experience, or an Assistant Accountant ready to take on more responsibility.
