Management Accountant
Plymouth, Devon
£45,000 – £55,000 per annum
Our client, a growing organisation based in Plymouth, is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an evolving business on a full-time, permanent basis with flexible hybrid working arrangements.
As Management Accountant, you will work closely with the Group Financial Controller to deliver accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis that supports informed decision-making and business performance. This opportunity would suit an experienced Management Accountant looking to help drive continuous improvement within a dynamic and evolving organisation.
The responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and performance reports
- Analyse financial results and investigate key variances
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Provide financial insight to operational and departmental managers
- Monitor costs and identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Maintain strong financial controls and reporting accuracy
- Support audit requirements and compliance activities
- Contribute to systems enhancements and process improvements
The candidate:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience
- Previous management accounting or business partnering experience
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence using finance systems
- Commercially minded with excellent communication skills
