Trinity House Group are partnering with a growing and highly successful business to recruit a Management Accountant who will play a key role in supporting financial performance across a complex operational environment.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a finalist or newly qualified accountant looking to move beyond traditional month-end reporting and gain genuine exposure to the operational and commercial drivers of the business.
You will be working alongside both finance and operational stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering accurate management information, providing meaningful analysis, and helping the business understand the financial impact of day-to-day operational activity. The role offers exposure to manufacturing finance, product costing, margin performance and operational reporting, allowing you to develop a broad and commercially focused skillset.
As the business continues to expand, finance is becoming increasingly embedded in decision-making, creating a fantastic platform for someone who enjoys analysing data, identifying trends and influencing positive change.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting financial reports.
- Analysis of financial performance, including detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Monitoring and reporting on key operational and manufacturing performance indicators.
- Supporting product costing, margin analysis and operational profitability reviews.
- Investigating cost movements and providing insight into business performance.
- Producing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring financial accuracy.
- Working closely with operational teams to understand performance drivers and improve financial visibility.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and ongoing financial planning activities.
- Supporting process improvements and enhancements to management reporting.
- Contributing towards the development of more insightful and value-adding financial information.
About You
- Studying towards, finalist, or recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Previous experience within a Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant or similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles and month-end processes.
- Confident producing financial analysis and explaining performance trends.
- Advanced Excel skills and comfortable working with large data sets.
- Naturally inquisitive, analytical and commercially minded.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Motivated to develop within a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
