A temp-to-perm Management Accountant opportunity, part of a friendly and capable team in a respected South Birmingham SME manufacturer.
The Company
A well established and respected SME engineering business with an international footprint, this company serves multiple sectors, is performing well and expanding.
The Role
A key role within a small, friendly and capable team, the role reports in to a line manager with an excellent track record for training and mentoring talented team members. Responsibilities will include:
- Month end reporting process, balance sheet controls
- Preparation and processing of GL ledger journals
- Variance and performance analysis
- Monitoring of KPIs
- Review and update standard costs, incl. material COGS and BOMs
- Support stock control process
- Some (not much) invoice processing
The Person
- Management Accounting experience – accruals & prepayments, etc
- Manufacturing sector expertise – highly desirable
- Excel skills – intermediate (vlookups, sumifs, pivots, etc.)
As important as practical experience are the personal qualities sought – curiosity, keenness to learn, and a positive and proactive approach.
This is a fully office based role, their South Birmingham location provides free parking and is well served by public transport. Applicants should live within easy commuting distance.
