The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a well-established business in a key finance role.
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the month-end process and play a central role in ensuring robust financial control across the organisation. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a high-volume environment while driving continuous improvement and supporting operational teams
The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Own the month-end close process
- Prepare management accounts with supporting analysis
- Maintain full responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations and controls
- Manage the fixed asset register
- Support and coordinate the external audit process
- Handle complex reconciliations, including online sales and VAT-related items
- Act as a key finance contact for queries and problem-solving
- Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
- Support wider finance team activities and continuous improvement initiatives
The Person
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or finalist
- Strong experience in management accounting and month-end processes
- Experience working in high-volume, transactional environments (multi-site, retail or distribution advantageous)
- Advanced Excel and strong systems/ERP experience
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage across the business
- Proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused
