Management Accountant

A growing organisation within the manufacturing and production sector, based in Cannock, is seeking a proactive and commercially focused Management Accountant to strengthen its finance function.

Our client is a well established UK manufacturer located in the Cannock area, known for delivering high quality, technically specialised products to a diverse customer base.

The Management Accountant reporting to the Finance Director, will play a key role in delivering accurate financial insight and supporting operational teams across the production environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Producing monthly management accounts, KPI reporting, and variance analysis

  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term inancial planning

  • Analysing production costs, stock movements, WIP, and margin performance

  • Managing and reviewing standard costing, including updates, variance investigation, and cost build accuracy

  • Supporting the development and application of activity based costing (ABC) to improve cost visibility and decision making

  • Business partnering with production, engineering, and supply chain teams

  • Monitoring cost saving initiatives and identifying operational efficiencies

  • Maintaining and improving financial controls across the production cycle

  • Enhancing reporting tools and dashboards, with a focus on Sage 200 data integrity

  • Supporting year end processes, external audits, and statutory requirements

The most desirable Management Accountant will:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)

  • Proven experience within a manufacturing and production environment

  • Strong working knowledge of Sage 200 and its reporting capabilities

  • Hands-on experience with standard costing and exposure to activity-based costing (ABC)

Upto £50,000 (dependant on experiance)
