We're working with a growing business in Milton Keynes to recruit a Management Accountant who will play a key role within the finance team.
This is a varied position offering exposure across all aspects of management accounting, with the opportunity to take ownership, improve processes and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation.
The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting the production of monthly management accounts while helping to provide meaningful financial information that supports business decision-making.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting month-end close.
- Posting journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining financial controls.
- Investigating variances and providing clear commentary on financial performance.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
- Supporting the year-end audit process and statutory reporting requirements.
- Producing financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a collaborative finance team and takes pride in producing accurate, reliable financial information.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
- A good understanding of month-end processes and management accounts preparation.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across the business.
