Managing Director – The Role:
This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished commercial leader to take responsibility for a successful international SME at a pivotal stage in its evolution. Reporting to the Board, the Managing Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across the organisation, driving profitable growth while maintaining the entrepreneurial culture and customer-focused approach that has underpinned the company’s success. The successful candidate will lead the development & execution of the business strategy, strengthen organisational capability and ensure the business continues to grow sustainably across its international markets.
Managing Director – Key Responsibilities:
– Lead the overall commercial and strategic direction of the business, delivering sustainable growth across UK, European and North American markets
– Develop and strengthen key customer, supplier and stakeholder relationships, ensuring continued expansion of international revenue streams
– Oversee global sourcing, import, export, supply chain and logistics operations, maintaining operational efficiency and customer service excellence
– Build organisational capability through leadership development, succession planning and the creation of a scalable management structure
Managing Director – You:
– Proven success in a senior leadership role within an SME or entrepreneurial environment
– Strong understanding of international sourcing, import/export operations and supply chain management, including experience working with manufacturing partners in Asia
– Track record of leading & developing high performing teams
– Highly commercial with strong financial acumen and experience managing profitability, working capital, customer relationships and strategic business performance
