Keiretsu Forum London
Keiretsu Forum is the world’s largest global angel investment community, spanning 53 chapters across 4 continents. Founded in San Francisco in 2000, we connect accredited angel investors, venture capitalists, and institutional partners with high-growth, early-stage founders.
We launched the London chapter in 2023 and are proud to serve the broader United Kingdom angel investment community through curated investment opportunities, investor-led insights, and exclusive community network activity. We are seeking an ambitious, high-agency Managing Director to scale our UK operations, expand our high-net-worth membership base, and accelerate our portfolio velocity. The role reports to the Board and will regularly meet with the Board Chair and Vice Chair.
The Role
As Managing Director, you will own the strategic vision, commercial growth, and operational execution of the London chapter. You will act as the primary catalyst for deal flow quality, membership expansion, and ecosystem engagement across the United Kingdom. This is an entrepreneurial mandate for a builder who wants to operate at the intersection of venture capital, community architecture, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Ecosystem Architecture: Position Keiretsu Forum London as a premier tier-one angel network in the UK, defining the long-term global value proposition for both investors and founders.
- Commercial Growth & Partnerships: Drive revenue velocity by expanding the accredited investor membership base and securing high-value corporate sponsorships and strategic partnerships.
- Deal Flow & Diligence Curation: Source, screen, and select exceptional startups for monthly pitch sessions. Orchestrate the member-led due diligence process, ensuring a high-calibre pipeline.
- Operational Management & Velocity: Oversee the end-to-end operations and budget alongside cadence of online and in-person pitch events and chapter operations. Leverage AI-native tools and automated workflows to maintain a lean, highly efficient operational footprint.
- Community Engagement: Facilitate active, high-value forums for joint learning, mindshare, and investment decision-making among sophisticated HNWIs and institutional members.
What We Are Looking For
- UK Ecosystem Credibility: Deep, verifiable networks within the UK startup and investment landscape, with established relationships among angels, family offices, and VCs.
- Commercial Acumen: 6+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, premium membership growth, or high-end corporate partnerships, with a proven track record of sourcing and closing executive sponsors.
- Executive Presence: Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to command a room of sophisticated investors and challenge assumptions constructively.
- Builder Mindset: A high-agency self-starter who defaults to action. You think in systems, notice patterns, and constantly look for ways to optimize operations. Tech-forward mindset with hands-on experience implementing AI-native strategies to automate manual workflows, scale communication, and maximize lean team outputs.
- Logistics: Valid right to work in the UK, based in/near London, with a willingness to travel for in-person events & networking in central-London.
