Morson are working with a leading defence manufacturer who are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in Assembly and Integration to eork out of the site near Bolton.
Responsibilities:
- As a Manufacturing Engineer within the unit and missile assembly manufacturing facility, you will ensure our products are manufactured efficiently and within budget.
- Play a vital role as a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, supporting multi-project manufacturing activities.
- Compile and update Manufacturing Instructions accurately.
- Design, commission, and validate associated tooling.
- Support the industrial validation process through the application of FMEAs, FAIs, and related methodologies.
- Resolve technical issues arising during the manufacturing process promptly.
- Implement route card changes resulting from rework activities.
- Manage Configuration Control by incorporating Design Modifications into Manufacturing Instructions.
- Provide support for the Non-Conformance Process using SAP.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of five years' experience within an engineering discipline.
- Proven ability to interpret Design Drawings to produce clear Manufacturing Build Instructions for both skilled and semi-skilled operators.
- Experience in electronic sub-assembly manufacture through to system-level builds.
- Knowledge of assembly processes for small and miniature electro-mechanical actuation systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong understanding of customer requirements with a commitment to meet and exceed expectations.
- Familiarity with and adherence to company processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively across all organisational levels.
Education:
-
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)
AND -
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 4 academic qualification (HNC, diploma, etc.)
AND -
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) *Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved
OR -
Degree in a relevant Engineering subject.
