We are currently Manufacturing Operatives for the Roller Department to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for the manufacture of components in accordance with drawings and customer specifications.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm
Rate: £12.71
Type: Temp ongoing
Location: Lye, DY9
Key Responsibilities:
- Grooving, Tapering, Lagging and Assembly of Roller components in accordance with the drawings and customer specifications
- Reporting any defective tooling, jigs, machines and fixtures or manufacturing problems that prevent production targets being achieved.
- Meet or exceed piecework quotas by completing a specific number of units or tasks within a set time frame.
- Responsibilities are listed in the Quality Control Manual and procedures to BS EN ISO 9001:2015 requirements, which are the inspection, identification, and packaging of company products
- Responsibilities as listed in the Health and Safety Policy
- Maintaining a high level of housekeeping
- Assistance in working in other departments when necessary
- Maintaining IHASCO training when necessary
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with a factory setting or engineering environment
- Reliability and good communication skills.
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Ideally candidates will have their own means of transport to allow for occasional movement between sites, as the business needs.
