Due to continued growth within the company, a position for an Account Handler/Technician has arisen.
Your new role
As an Account Handler/Technician, you will play a key role in supporting brokers and senior account handlers across all stages of the broking lifecycle. You will be involved in pre-placement, placement and post-placement activities, ensuring the accurate preparation and management of both market and client documentation. You will assist in the production of slips, wordings and associated documentation, while maintaining internal systems and records in line with regulatory requirements. The role will involve regular interaction with clients, responding to queries and ensuring a high level of service delivery at all times. You will also support renewal activity, prepare documentation for market presentation and collaborate closely with broking teams to ensure seamless execution of client programmes.
This position offers the opportunity to build strong working relationships with both clients and market counterparts, while contributing to a team-focused environment that prioritises service quality and client satisfaction
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have a solid understanding of the London Insurance Market, with previous experience in an account handling or technical support role. You should also have experience ideally in Marine Hull or Marine Cargo Insurance. You will bring strong knowledge of insurance documentation, including slips and wordings, alongside an understanding of market processes and client servicing requirements.
You will be highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, enabling you to engage effectively with clients, brokers and underwriters. You will also demonstrate a proactive approach, a willingness to learn and a commitment to developing your technical expertise, with progress towards professional qualifications such as ACII viewed favourably
