Job Title : Material Specialist
Location: Caterpillar – Larne Site
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. (Mon – Thurs)
Pay: £14.27 – £28.54 per hour, Shift Allowance, Over-time
Responsibilities:
-
Operating forklift truck and other relevant equipment for onsite component/equipment movements.

Loading boxes, crates, skids, frames etc. for waste disposal.

Complete necessary paperwork relating to component equipment movements.

Inspects, maintains and operates machinery within relevant company guidelines.

Compliance with safety and quality standards.

Compliance with 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.

Display behaviour and conduct fitting with our Values in Action.

Train other employees if and when required.

Any other appropriate duties.
Required Qualifications:
-
The ability to follow and comprehend verbal, specific and detailed procedures and work instructions as well as basic arithmetic calculations in order to perform the duties described above.

Good communication skills, experience working in a team environment

Ability to work reasonable amounts of overtime and various shift patterns
Desired Qualifications:
-
Forklift license.
-
Reasonable level of computer literacy
-
Previous experience working in a lean environment.
-
Ability to prioritise and organise sequence of work on occasion.
Hours of work and salary:
-
Day Shift: £14.27/hr.
-
Night Shift: £19.03/hr.
-
Overtime: £21.41/hr (First ten hours)
-
Overtime: £28.54/hr. (After ten hours overtime)
