A leading FMCG manufacturer is seeking a proactive and commercially minded Materials Planner to join its high-performing supply chain team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planning professional or a junior procurement specialist looking to transition into a broader supply chain role.
Working closely with production, procurement, suppliers and logistics teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely availability of raw materials and packaging to support production plans, while maintaining optimal stock levels and minimising waste.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage material requirements to support production schedules and customer demand.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders to ensure continuity of supply.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, lead times and supply issues.
- Maintain accurate planning parameters and material master data within the ERP system.
- Identify and mitigate potential stock shortages and excess inventory risks.
- Work collaboratively with Procurement, Production, Warehousing and Customer Service teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
- Analyse inventory performance and generate recommendations to improve availability and reduce costs.

Requirements
- Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, retail, consumer goods or a similar supply chain environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, M3, JDE or similar preferred).
- Strong Excel skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
