Inspire Confidence. Teach Differently. Make a Lasting Impact.

We are looking for a qualified Maths Teacher (QTS essential) to join a specialist secondary setting supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This is an opportunity to use your subject expertise in an environment where smaller classes, enhanced support, and meaningful relationships allow you to focus on what matters most — high-quality teaching and helping students succeed.

Whether you already have experience in specialist education or are a strong mainstream teacher looking to move into a more personalised and rewarding setting, we would welcome your application.

The Opportunity

As our Maths Teacher, you will teach secondary-aged students up to GCSE level, delivering engaging and accessible lessons that enable students to build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their academic goals.

You will work as part of a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team, with the time and flexibility to adapt teaching approaches and create positive learning experiences for every student.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons up to GCSE level

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning, communication, and sensory needs

  • Monitor progress and support students to achieve their full potential

  • Build positive and consistent relationships with students, families, and colleagues

  • Promote confidence, resilience, independence, and emotional wellbeing

  • Contribute to a nurturing and ambitious school community

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – applications without QTS cannot be considered

  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level

  • Confidence delivering GCSE Maths

  • Strong classroom practice and behaviour management skills

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building ability

  • A patient, adaptable, and student-centred approach

  • Due to rural location, access to own transport will be important

Desirable

  • Experience within specialist education, SEND, or ASC provision

  • Knowledge of EHCPs and differentiated teaching strategies

  • Experience supporting students with social communication differences

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary of £36,000 – £42,000, depending on experience

  • Small class sizes allowing greater impact and meaningful teaching

  • Enhanced staffing support and collaborative working

  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities

  • A supportive leadership team and specialist education environment

  • The opportunity to make a genuine and lasting difference in young people’s lives
