SEN Maths Teacher – Inspire, Support and Transform Learning
We are working with a specialist SEN provision to recruit a compassionate, creative and committed Maths Teacher to support children and young people through highly personalised learning pathways.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusion and thrives in a flexible, learner-centred environment. You’ll be part of a dedicated team delivering holistic, multi-sensory education to pupils who may be “hard to place” or disengaged from mainstream education.
About the Provision
The specialist provision supports children and young people aged 7-19, offering creative, trauma-informed education across multiple learning hubs. The focus is on re-engaging learners, rebuilding confidence and creating meaningful educational outcomes that extend beyond traditional classroom models.
The Role
As an SEN Maths Teacher, you will work with learners on a 1:1 or small-group basis, delivering an engaging and flexible Maths curriculum tailored to each young person’s needs, interests and EHCP outcomes.
You will collaborate closely with senior teaching staff to design and deliver innovative, multi-sensory learning experiences that support academic progress alongside social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and review personalised Maths learning programmes
- Create engaging, creative lessons using multi-sensory approaches
- Build confidence, motivation and positive learning behaviours
- Advocate for learners and involve them in decisions about their education
- Maintain safeguarding, health & safety and risk management standards
- Support learner profiles, SEN documentation, assessments and progress tracking
- Contribute to curriculum development and subject improvement planning
- Maintain accurate records, including EHCP and transition documentation
- Commit to ongoing professional development and SEN best practice
About You

Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Maths
- SEN teaching experience (preferred)
- Willingness and ability to travel between learning hubs
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
