Mechanical Design Engineer
Plymouth, Commutable from: Tavistock, Ivybridge, Saltash, Yelverton
Up to £46,000 per annum + Bonus + Flexi Time + Hybrid + Early Finish on Friday + Pension + Extra Benefits
Excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in mechanical systems design to join a market-leading, international company.
The company are a well-established, highly revered manufacturing company in the Plymouth area with sites across the world that not only are renowned for the quality of their products but also for being a leading and progressive employer within the area. Due to growth, they are currently for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team.

The Role:
- Produce 3D models and concepts and 2D production drawings for sheet metal components, weldments, and assemblies.
- Support both product updates and NPI projects, actively contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
- Work closely with internal teams including engineering, sales, procurement, and production.
- Monday – Friday 39 hours, core hours 8am – 4:30pm but they operate flexi hours and hybrid working

The person:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline (or significant relevant experience)
- CAD Software (Creo and/or Inventor desirable)
- Sheet metal and fabrication design experience desirable
