We are currently recruiting for Mental Health Support Workers to work at an acute inpatient metal health service in the Clacton on Sea area.
You will work with an inclusive multi- disciplinary clinical team, providing front line trauma -informed care. Your primary goal is to to help service users with acute phases of mental illness and support them on a recovery pathway back to independent living.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Day to day care – Assisting service users with day to day routine and activities, monitoring and supporting at mealtimes and providing physical support including personal care,
- Behavioral Monitoring – Join ward rounds, closely analyze patient behavious,and actively adapt care plans along side senior clinicians
- Safety & vigilance – Respond swiftly to incidents, maintaining strict situational awareness in a challenging acute environment.
- Record keeping- Ensure all patient documentation is recorded accurately, ensuring records are updating behavioral changes and progress.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 months experience working in care environment, ideally supporting adults with mental health issues.
- A good work ethic, and able to work under pressure with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- You will need a car, due to rural location
- A high level of compassion and initiative, with a good team work mentality is essential.,
