Hybrid – 1 day per week from home

Join a dynamic Procurement team as a Merchandiser for a lifestyle brand. This role is crucial for planning and trading the product proposition to meet customer expectations and achieve financial targets. It is ideal for professionals passionate about premium or luxury retail environments.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop detailed assortment and category plans by analysing past, present, and predicted market performance in collaboration with the Product and Design teams.
  • Produce analysis for lessons learned and strategise for future developments.
  • Manage sales, stock, and open-to-buy (OTB) planning using WSSI and Terminal Stock controls.
  • Collaborate with the Merchandising and Finance teams to align planned intake with cash flow.
  • Optimise performance of best sellers through effective sales and stock level planning.
  • Conduct in-season performance analysis to drive action plans and adjust future strategies.
  • Manage markdowns and promotions to maintain required margins and stock levels.
  • Oversee stock management including planning, intake, deliveries, and maintaining essential stock levels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, freight forwarding partners, and the warehouse team to ensure timely deliveries.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience managing an allocator or Merchandise Assistant.
  • Strong numerical and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with purchase order management systems and dynamic forecasting systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commercial experience, preferably in premium or luxury retail sectors.
  • An understanding of and interest in online retail business.
  • Ability to contribute innovative ideas and solutions.
