My client is a firmly established SME manufacturing company focused on the supply of metal-based components across a range of sectors. They are seeking a Metrology Engineer to join their existing team. As a Metrology Engineer, you will be focusing on measuring NPI parts, quality inspection, operating, setting and calibrating CMM equipment.
Metrology Engineer Responsibilities:
– Operating, setting and calibrating CMM equipment
– Measuring production and NPI parts
– Input into the NPI, APQP, PPAP processes
– Ensure that parts meet technical and industry specifications
– Analyse measurement data and identify areas of improvement
Metrology Engineer Requirements:
– Previous experience working within a Metrology or CMM position
– Experienced in using metrology laboratory equipment
– Must have a good understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
– Must be a team player
– Able to program and calibrate metrology machinery
