Randstad Construction & Property are working with a leading facilities management provider who are looking for an experienced Commercial Heating Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis, covering a large commercial contracts within Dumfries and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate must have experience carrying out the maintenance and repairs of mechanical heating systems. They must also hold 2 years worth of experience carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.
Package includes:
- Competitive salary between £38,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience)
- Overtime available

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete PPM maintenance, inspection and repair services on commercial heating systems.
- Complete reactive maintenance to heating systems and other general tasks.
- Maintain and manage the records of works carried out on site including recommendations for repairs.
- Fault finding and repairs of heating systems.
- Liaise with the supervisor providing updates and progress on workload.
- Operating, maintaining and monitoring the plant.
- Working on compressors, boilers, water treatment.
The ideal candidate must have the following:
- City and guilds/NVQ in Heating Engineering.
- 3 years experience of PPM and reactive maintenance.
- Knowledge of steam boiler water treatment & rotating plant.
- Experience of heating maintenance.
- Building services/facilities management knowledge, to have been exposed to all aspects including basic electrical knowledge.
