About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join their team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate practitioner to deliver high-quality French and Spanish teaching across Key Stage 3. The role is part-time, working three days per week (Monday to Wednesday), and is ideal for experienced teachers seeking a flexible opportunity.

The Role: Teacher of MFL

As a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons in French and Spanish, fostering enthusiasm for language learning and supporting students to build strong foundations at Key Stage 3.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to curriculum delivery and maintain high standards of teaching and learning within the department.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver high-quality French and Spanish lessons across KS3
  • Plan engaging and accessible lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching to support achievement
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Support the delivery of a broad and engaging languages curriculum
  • Inspire students to develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing
  • Contribute to departmental planning and the wider school community
  • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive student engagement

  • Must have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in French and Spanish
  • Ability to engage and motivate students at Key Stage 3
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for part-time teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
