Motion Designer (12-Month Contract)

We're recruiting on behalf of an established organisation looking for an experienced Motion Designer to join a high-performing in-house creative team. This is a hands-on contract role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced marketing environment, creating engaging digital content across multiple channels while playing a key role in the end-to-end creative process.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in motion design, performance marketing creative and digital asset production, with the ability to deliver high-quality work at scale.
The Role
As Motion Designer, you'll be responsible for creating compelling creative assets for digital marketing campaigns across paid social, display, email, web and video platforms. Motion design will form a significant part of your workload, producing engaging content optimised for channels such as Meta, TikTok and YouTube.
Working closely with creative, marketing and content teams, you'll take projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring assets are produced to the highest standard while meeting campaign objectives and platform requirements.
This is a highly collaborative role that requires excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality motion graphics and video content using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
- Design and produce digital marketing assets including paid social adverts, Performance Max creative, display banners, email campaigns and web graphics.
- Adapt and version creative across multiple formats, sizes and platforms while maintaining brand consistency.
- Produce campaign assets at scale, supporting high-volume performance marketing activity (often 100+ assets per campaign).
- Edit short-form video content for social media and digital marketing channels.
- Support filming and content capture for digital campaigns, including occasional on-location shoots.
- Apply platform best practices, including safe zones, aspect ratios, file specifications and channel-specific creative requirements.
- Leverage AI-powered creative tools to improve ideation, content creation and production efficiency.
- Maintain organised project files and asset libraries using structured workflows and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with designers, copywriters and marketing teams throughout the creative process.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
About You
You'll be a creative Motion Designer who combines strong technical ability with an understanding of performance marketing and digital content. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage projects from concept through to final delivery.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven commercial experience as a Motion Designer with a strong portfolio.
- Advanced skills across Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience creating assets for performance marketing and paid social campaigns.
- Strong understanding of digital advertising specifications, safe zones, resizing and asset versioning.
- Experience producing creative for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, display advertising and email marketing.
- Comfortable using AI tools throughout the creative workflow.
- Excellent organisation and project management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
Desirable
- Experience filming and capturing content using professional camera equipment.
- Experience editing footage captured on location.
- Experience working within an in-house creative studio or marketing team.
- Knowledge of Figma and collaborative design workflows.
