Role: Motor Litigation Fee Earner

Salary: 40,000 – £45,000
Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid
CRA Consulting is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading national legal services provider to recruit an experienced Motor Litigation Fee Earner.

The Role
Reporting to a Team Leader, you will manage a caseload of litigated defendant motor damage claims from receipt of proceedings through to settlement or final hearing.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal advice, developing effective litigation strategies, and ensuring claims are progressed efficiently while maintaining exceptional client service and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of litigated motor damage claims from inception through to conclusion.
- Draft legal documentation, pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
- Develop commercially focused litigation strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Negotiate settlements where appropriate and prepare cases for trial where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and client service standards.
- Maintain accurate case management records and meet agreed service level agreements.
- Build positive relationships with clients, insurers, counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Share technical knowledge and contribute to the ongoing development of the wider team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) with a current practising certificate.
- Experience managing civil litigation matters, ideally within defendant motor damage or insurance litigation.
- Road Traffic Accident (RTA) litigation experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, advocacy, and case management skills.
- Excellent commercial awareness and sound litigation judgement.
- The ability to prioritise a busy caseload while delivering exceptional client service.
