Music Teacher

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Music Teacher to start in September on a permanent basis. This is to work in a mainstream secondary school in the borough of Newham

This is a school where students' attitudes to learning are generally positive and thus progress. The behaviour is generally good and Teachers here have high expectations and these are often always met by pupils.

  • Mixed secondary school
  • An Ofsted rated good secondary school
  • KS3, KS4 and KS5
  • Supportive Music department
  • NQTs will be considered and there is strong support for the NQT induction
  • Supportive yet high energy atmosphere
  • This is a full time position including planning and marking
  • The school may consider part time
  • Behaviour is excellent and students are keen to learn
  • Warm and welcoming atmosphere at the school
  • Interviewing ASAP

The right Music Teacher will be:

  • Experienced with the UK curriculum
  • Confident with teaching Key Stage 3-5 Music
  • Creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box

The successful Secondary Music Teacher will have the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in or a relevant subject
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
  • A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service
