Overview A vibrant and inclusive school in Southwark is seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join its successful department. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging lessons, inspiring a love of music, and helping students develop their performance, composition, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities · Plan and deliver high-quality Music lessons across the relevant key stages. · Encourage students to develop their practical, theoretical, and creative musical abilities. · Monitor, assess, and report on student progress. · Support and lead extracurricular music activities, including choirs, ensembles, concerts, and school productions. · Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes achievement and participation. · Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.

Essential Requirements · Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification. · Experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting. · Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Music education. · Excellent classroom management and communication skills. · Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. · Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
