Manchester, Hybrid Working
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a New Business-focused Property & Casualty Underwriter to join a well-established and highly respected global insurer in Manchester. This role would suit either an ambitious Underwriter looking to step up or an experienced Senior Underwriter seeking a new challenge. You'll be responsible for underwriting mid-market Property & Casualty risks, developing strong broker relationships, and driving profitable new business growth across the region.
The Role
- Underwrite a range of mid-market Property & Casualty risks.
- Drive profitable new business growth across the Manchester region.
- Build and develop strong relationships with key broker partners.
- Support regional underwriting strategy and portfolio performance.
Requirements
- Proven Property & Casualty underwriting experience within an insurer or MGA.
- Strong technical underwriting and risk assessment skills.
- Experience developing and managing broker relationships.
- Commercially focused with a strong understanding of profitable growth.
- Ambitious, relationship-driven and keen to develop your career.

Hybrid Working
This is a hybrid role, with your time split between the Manchester office, broker visits and home working. Typically, around 60% of your week will be spent in the office or meeting brokers, offering an excellent balance between flexibility, collaboration and market engagement.
