Non Working Foreperson

We’re a business built on skilled tradespeople – we’re continuing to grow and are looking for a Non Working Foreperson to join our Planned Works team in Hampshire. You'll support the operational delivery of essential upgrading works to client properties, ensuring the work is conducted safely, professionally and to the highest standards, always. 

You’ll be overseeing a variety of projects including electrical, flooring, refurbishment and painting works, reporting to the Contract Manager, acting as a link between the office and our sites.

The Non-Working Foreperson role:

  • You will be assisting in the day to day running of all planned work streams
  • You will be responsible for assisting the Contracts Manager in the supervision of operatives
  • Streams will include but are not limited to electrical installation, flooring, decorations, internal paint works.
  • Health and Safety reporting. You will complete on site welfare checks including monitoring safe ways of working, PPE, tool/equipment inspections.
  • Assist the Contracts Manager with Pre work inspections, set-ups and post inspections of work completed

What will you bring as a Foreperson?

  • Ability to provide clear supervision & management of site operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and meeting quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Appropriate professional qualification in construction, ideally SMSTS (as well as appropriate trade or technical qualification, NVQ2 or similar)
  • Must understand relevant building regulations, health and safety legislation and industry standards applicable to the project.
  • Should be familiar with common construction methodologies, potential hazards and demonstrate proven experience in risk assessment and management, incident investigation and quality control processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to think systematically about potential types of failure and their consequences
  • Understanding of procedures relating to Temporary Works, Scaffolding, Management and Control of Excavations and the Safe System of Works for Electrical Installations.
  • The possession of a full current UK Driving Licence, which is essential to undertake the Foreperson role.
