About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Nursery Manager / Assistant Manager to join a friendly and welcoming nursery team based in Godalming. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong nursery experience who is looking to step into a leadership role while remaining hands-on within the setting.
This hybrid position combines shared management responsibilities with a strong child-facing element, making it ideal for someone who is passionate about early years education and ready to progress their career.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day running of the nursery
- Take on shared leadership responsibilities within the setting
- Work directly with children, delivering high-quality care and education
- Support and guide staff across the rooms
- Ensure compliance with EYFS and safeguarding standards
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Contribute to planning and overall nursery operations
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a nursery setting (e.g. Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, Deputy)
- Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent) preferred
- Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding
- A passion for working with children alongside a desire to develop into leadership
- Positive, reliable, and team-oriented approach
