Nursery Manager Consett, County Durham Full Time (Flexible options considered) Start Date: ASAP Salary: £40,000 per annum Permanent Position
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead a welcoming and supportive nursery setting in Consett. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated early years professional to take the next step in their career and make a real impact on children's development and the wider team.
The Role: As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and compliance are consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities: – Lead, motivate, and develop a team of nursery practitioners – Ensure full compliance with EYFS and Ofsted requirements – Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children – Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals – Manage occupancy, budgets, and overall nursery performance – Drive continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standards across the setting
About You: Previous experience in a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager role – Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding practices – A confident, organised, and approachable leader – Passionate about early years education and child development – Excellent communication and team management skills – Relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 or above – essential)
