Community-Based Role

We are currently recruiting two experienced Occupational Therapists to join a busy and dynamic Community Occupational Therapy and Moving & Handling Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a large, supportive multidisciplinary team delivering impactful work within Adult Social Care.
The Role
In this role, you will manage a varied caseload and contribute to a fast-paced service, supporting individuals to live safely and independently within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload within an Adult Social Care setting
- Participate in duty work as part of the wider team
- Deliver specialist assessments and interventions, including equipment provision and housing adaptations
- Complete moving and handling assessments and provide appropriate recommendations
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, service users, and carers to deliver person-centred outcomes
Requirements
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
- Proven experience in Community Occupational Therapy
- Strong knowledge of equipment provision and housing adaptations
- Confident in moving and handling assessments and best practice
- Good understanding of the Care Act and its application within Adult Social Care
- Experience supporting adults with physical disabilities and frailty
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
