Occupational Therapist (Band 5/6) – SEMH School

Location: Putney, Wandsworth (SW15)
Salary: £44,684 – £52,990 (NHS Band 6) – Band 5 applicants encouraged to apply
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 5 Days per Week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join a specialist SEMH school in Wandsworth, supporting secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Working within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in helping young people overcome barriers to learning by delivering evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions. You'll work closely with teaching staff, families and external professionals to develop personalised therapy programmes that promote independence, emotional wellbeing and positive educational outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy with HCPC registration (or eligibility)

  • Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, including SEMH, ASC or behavioural needs

  • Experience delivering both individual and group occupational therapy interventions

  • Strong communication and collaborative working skills

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
