The Role
This is a varied and visible position where you will oversee business-as-usual operations while also supporting longer-term initiatives. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will help create a well-run, efficient and engaging workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day business operations, ensuring smooth and efficient running of the office
- Manage onboarding processes including offer letters, templates and documentation
- Maintain compliance processes and oversee insurance administration, including renewals
- Build and manage relationships with landlords and external suppliers
- Produce reports and analyse data using Excel and Microsoft Office tools
- Monitor team performance and headcount, including line management of two Team Assistants
- Support training and development initiatives, including the introduction of AI tools
- Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes and progressive ways of working
- Assist with project work and internal initiatives such as events and internal materials
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in an Office Manager or operations-focused role within professional services (legal experience desirable but not essential)
- Must have worked in a regulated environment
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively
- Self-sufficient and proactive, with a natural ability to take ownership
- Comfortable working in an environment with evolving processes and minimal red tape
- Confident communicator, able to engage with a range of stakeholders and strong personalities
- Ideas-driven with a practical approach to implementation
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills, with the ability to produce clear and insightful reports
- Collaborative and approachable, with a positive and professional working style
