Operations Administrator (Industrial)

Location: North Lincolnshire
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
Contract: 18-Month Fixed-Term Contract (until December 2027)

The Company

Our client is a well-established organisation operating within a busy industrial environment. Due to an ongoing programme of operational activity and business projects, they are seeking an organised and proactive Operations Administrator to support a range of teams and ensure the smooth running of administrative processes across the business.

The Role

This is a varied and fast-paced position that will involve supporting operational and project-based activities, coordinating documentation, maintaining business systems, and liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring information is accurate, accessible and maintained in line with business requirements, whilst providing efficient administrative support across multiple functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to operational and project teams.
  • Maintain and organise business documentation, records and filing systems.
  • Support document management processes, ensuring information is stored accurately and updated when required.
  • Assist with the administration and maintenance of SharePoint sites and shared team resources.
  • Produce reports, trackers and management information using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare supporting documentation and record actions where necessary.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors and internal departments to support business operations.
  • Assist with invoice administration, purchase orders and general business processes.
  • Support ongoing improvement initiatives and project activities.
  • Ensure all information is handled confidentially and maintained to a high standard of accuracy.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in an Administration, Operations Administration, Project Administration or Business Support role.
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience using SharePoint for document management, collaboration and information sharing.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Experience working within an industrial, engineering, manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Previous experience supporting operational or project teams.
  • Document control experience or exposure to document management systems.
  • Knowledge of project administration processes and business reporting.
  • Experience working with ERP, purchasing or finance systems.
