Operations Manager – Insurance Brokerage
We are supporting a well-established and growing independent insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in its next phase of development.
This is a key hire, working closely with senior leadership to drive operational efficiency, support the broking team, and act as the central point for technical expertise and systems oversight. The role also offers genuine scope to evolve into a broader senior leadership position over time.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations across the broking function
- Provide technical support and guidance to Account Handlers and Executives
- Act as a “super user” for Acturis, driving best practice and efficiencies
- Identify and implement process improvements across the business
- Support leadership with strategic and operational initiatives
This role would suit an experienced Senior Account Handler, Team Leader, or Operations/Office Manager within a commercial insurance brokerage looking to take the next step. Someone who is a technically strong broking professional who enjoys improving processes and supporting others, rather than focusing purely on personal billing. Someone seeking a broader, more influential position with visibility across the whole business.
About you:
- Strong operational and technical experience within an insurance brokerage
- Advanced Acturis knowledge (essential)
- A natural problem-solver with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach
- Confident, approachable, and collaborative with strong relationship-building skills
- Resilient and dependable – someone the team can rely on as a go-to person
- Organised, pragmatic, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
The offer:
- Salary circa £55,000–£70,000 depending on experience
- Hybrid working (with regular office presence required)
- Long-term progression into a broader leadership capacity
