Operations Manager (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Meraki Talent is working with a leading professional services firm, seeking a people driven Operation Manager to join the team on an interim basis for 6 months.
You will be responsible for the day to day operational management of the function, ensuring service levels are maintained and processes are continually improved. Alongside operational processes, you will be people and team driven, coaching, ensuring objectives are set and teams are engaged.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the operations function spanning over 1000 stakeholders
- Act as the key escalation point for operational matters.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and manage service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure consistent delivery.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on documentation, templates, letters, and proposals.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and embed best practice across the team.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team.
- Set clear objectives and performance expectations.
- Support employee development, engagement, and upskilling initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative "one team" culture focused on achieving shared goals.
- Provide hands-on support when required, leading by example and working alongside the team.
- Effectively manage both office-based and remote team members.
Person Specification:
- Confident and approachable operational leader who combines strong process management skills with a genuine passion for people development.
- Strong background within professional services environments, either Legal, Business Advisory, Accountancy, Tech, Financial Services.
- Experience managing operational processes, compliance, risk, and service delivery.
- Demonstrable success in improving processes, efficiencies, and team performance.
- Experience leading and developing teams, including remote management.
- Strong understanding of SLA management and quality control processes.
- Collaborative and supportive leadership style.
- High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills.
- Empathetic, approachable, and team focused.
- Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on operational involvement.
- Passionate about staff development and creating a positive team culture.
