Oliver James
OPERATIONS SPECIALIST – INSURANCE
£50-60,000 + BONUS
HYBRID (LONDON)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading global insurance organisation for an Operations Specialist to join their growing team.
This role sits at the heart of the business, supporting the delivery and improvement of core operational processes across the insurance lifecycle. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of risk, premium and claims data, while working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
The position will involve ownership of end-to-end processes, identifying areas for improvement and driving operational efficiency across the function. You will act as a key point of contact for process-related matters, supporting stakeholders and helping to embed best practice across the operating model.
A large part of the role involves collaboration with offshore teams, acting as a referral point and providing guidance and training to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery. You will also work closely with third-party suppliers and technology teams, contributing to system enhancements, testing and implementation of changes.
Key responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics such as KPIs, KRIs and SLAs, supporting issue resolution and ensuring processes remain compliant within a regulated environment. You will also contribute to wider change initiatives, helping to implement improvements and support ongoing transformation across the business.
The ideal candidate will have experience within insurance or a regulated financial services environment, with a strong understanding of operational processes and data flows. You should be comfortable working with large datasets, analysing information and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with offshore teams, process improvement or project-based work would be highly beneficial.
This role offers a salary of up to £60,000 with a hybrid working model of 2 to 3 days per week in a London office.
