Oxbridge Graduates – Aspiring Primary Teacher

A fantastic Primary School in the Borough of Tower Hamlets are on the hunt for aspiring Primary Teachers to work as Primary Teaching Assistants from September 2026 for the full academic year.
The school is a warm, inclusive and community-focused setting with a strong reputation for supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally. You will be supported from day one, with opportunities to grow, challenge yourself and gain invaluable classroom experience before progressing into teacher training.
You will be working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils within lessons, carrying out 1:1 and small group interventions, and helping to raise attainment across core areas such as Phonics, Reading, Writing and Maths.

- EYFS Teaching Assistant
- KS1 Teaching Assistant
- KS2 Teaching Assistant
- English & Literacy Teaching Assistant
- Maths Intervention Teaching Assistant
- Phonics Support Teaching Assistant
- SEN Teaching Assistant
- EAL Teaching Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Oxbridge Graduates – Aspiring Primary Teacher
- Primary Teaching Assistant
- Working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Supporting pupils with Phonics, Reading, Writing and Maths
- Carrying out 1:1 and small group interventions
- Supporting pupils in class with general Teaching Assistant duties
- Helping stretch higher-attaining pupils and support those working below age-related expectations
- Supporting pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and Speech & Language needs
- Supporting pupils with EAL where required
- September 2026 start
- Full Time & Long Term
- Full academic year
- £110 – £115 per day
- Located in the Borough of Tower Hamlets
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Must have a desirable degree from Oxford, Cambridge or a Russell Group University
- 1st Class or 2:1 degree strongly preferred
- Good A Levels & GCSEs across the board
- Must be an aspiring Primary Teacher
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills are essential
- You must be confident, proactive and able to engage young children
- A genuine passion for education and child development
- Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential
- Commitment, resilience and ambition to succeed is key throughout
