Axon Moore is partnering with a reputable business in Lancaster to recruit a professional and detail-oriented PA – Typist to support a senior leadership team within a busy office environment.
This opportunity would suit an experienced administrator or secretary who enjoys working in a structured role, has strong typing capabilities, and can confidently manage a varied workload while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
The Opportunity As PA – Typist, you will play an important role in supporting day-to-day operations through efficient document production, diary coordination, and administrative assistance. The position requires someone who is organised, dependable, and comfortable handling sensitive information in a professional setting.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders and wider teams, helping to ensure administrative processes run efficiently and deadlines are consistently met.
Responsibilities
- Producing a wide range of professional documents from dictated recordings and written notes
- Formatting and proofreading reports, correspondence, presentations, and general documentation
- Coordinating schedules, appointments, and internal meetings
- Managing inboxes, telephone enquiries, and day-to-day communications
- Maintaining accurate digital records and updating internal systems
- Assisting with preparation of client-facing materials and business documentation
- Supporting invoice processing and administrative tracking activities
- Organising electronic filing systems and ensuring documentation is correctly stored
- Liaising with external contacts and suppliers where required
- Providing wider administrative support across the office as needed
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a PA, typist, secretarial, or administrative support role
- Fast and accurate typing skills, including experience working from audio dictation
- Strong IT proficiency, particularly within Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written English and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Professional communication style with a confident and approachable manner
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
- High level of discretion and reliability
