Ortus PSR
We are working with a highly regarded, Chartered, independently owned financial planning firm based in Enderby, Leicestershire to recruit a Paraplanner who has hands-on experience in advice support but has not yet completed the Diploma in Financial Planning. The firm will fully fund and support your studies through to qualification.
The firm has been advising high-net-worth private clients since 1983, has grown entirely through client referral and retention, and now manages in excess of £1 billion of client assets.
This is a firm that takes paraplanning seriously. The paraplanning team sits at the centre of the advice process — producing suitability reports, carrying out technical research, running cash flow analysis, and providing specialist pension and investment support to a team of senior Financial Planners. You will report directly to the Head of Paraplanning and Research and work within a collaborative, high-standard team environment that will actively support your development towards Diploma status.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Preparing suitability reports across a range of advice areas including pensions, investments, and protection, with senior review and support
- Working closely with Financial Planners to gather client information and ensure reports accurately reflect the advice given
- Ensuring all documentation meets the firm's compliance standards before issue
- Assisting the Head of Paraplanning with research and due diligence on third-party products and services recommended to clients
- Supporting the annual cost comparison benchmarking of the firm's SIPP and SSAS products against market competitors
- Producing cash flow reports for Financial Planners to support the client planning process
- Developing your technical knowledge alongside your funded Diploma studies
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Experience working in a paraplanning or advice support role within a regulated financial services environment
- Commitment to completing the Diploma in Financial Planning (existing R0 passes an advantage)
- Good working knowledge of pension, investment, and protection products
- Strong attention to detail and written communication skills
STUDY SUPPORT
- Full funding of the Diploma in Financial Planning, including exam fees and study materials
- Clear progression to a fully qualified Paraplanner role on completion
