The Opportunity
As a Paraplanner, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality, compliant, and well-documented wealth planning advice. You’ll work closely with advisers, act as a technical subject-matter expert, and support clients across a wide range of planning scenarios.
This is not a pure back-office role, you’ll be involved in client meetings, technical discussions, and the full advice lifecycle, gaining visibility across complex client relationships.
The Role
- Suitability report writing – clear, compliant, technically robust
- Wealth planning research for UK & international clients
- Completing annual suitability review letters
- Ensuring clients understand the key features of the advice provided
- Producing cashflow modelling and long-term planning analysis
- Reviewing client risk-profiling reports
- Supporting advisers with technical analysis and case guidance
- Attending client meetings, taking notes, and following up on actions
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Paraplanner within wealth management
- Level 4 Diploma (essential) with desire to achieve Chartered or Certified status
- Ideally 3–4 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
- Comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders and external visitors
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of the financial planning process and compliance
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver accurate work first time
- Experience of report writing and technical analysis
- Proficient with financial planning tools and modelling software
- Confident acting as a technical point of contact for clients and providers
