Chartered Wealth Management Firm | Adviser Progression Pathway | Strong Technical Support Structure
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Diploma-qualified Paraplanner to join one of the UK’s leading Chartered Wealth Management firms.
This is a genuinely career-focused opportunity within a highly respected business that has grown organically and consistently, more than trebling in size over recent years. The firm has a long-standing reputation for developing talent internally and providing clear progression routes into advisory roles.
Having successfully placed multiple professionals into this business over the past decade, it is clear this is an organisation that invests heavily in people, technical development and long-term career progression.
This particular role has arisen following internal progression, with a Senior Paraplanner stepping into a client-facing advisory role. The firm is now seeking a similarly ambitious Paraplanner to follow the same development path.
The Opportunity
You will work closely with high-performing Financial Advisers, providing end-to-end technical paraplanning support within a highly structured and collaborative environment.
As you develop within the role, you will gain increasing exposure to client meetings, technical discussions and cashflow-led financial planning, with a clear pathway towards becoming a Financial Adviser.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing comprehensive end-to-end paraplanning support to senior Financial Advisers
• Preparing detailed suitability reports across pensions, investments, tax and retirement planning
• Conducting technical research and product analysis to support client recommendations
• Attending client meetings in the City office as you progress in the role
• Supporting and contributing to recommendation discussions and financial planning strategies
• Presenting Voyant cashflow modelling outputs to clients at review meetings (with training provided where required)
• Liaising closely with advisers, paraplanning colleagues and the wider technical team
• Ensuring all advice is fully compliant and meets FCA standards
• Supporting ongoing development of client relationships alongside advisers
• Managing workflow and maintaining high standards of accuracy and delivery
Requirements
• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential)
• Minimum 2 years’ paraplanning experience within an IFA or Wealth Management environment
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and retirement planning
• Experience preparing or supporting suitability reports
• Exposure to cashflow modelling (Voyant desirable but not essential – training provided)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Confident working closely with advisers and attending client meetings
• Ambition to progress into a Financial Adviser role
What's on Offer
• Salary £47,000 – £52,000 depending on experience
• Discretionary bonus scheme
• Full study support and funding for further qualifications
• Clear and structured route into a Financial Adviser role
• Hybrid working (2–3 days from home once established in the role)
• Highly collegiate and supportive team culture
• Ongoing technical training and development
• Strong Paraplanning Manager support from a highly experienced technical lead
• Regular team events and social activities
• Opportunity to join a highly respected Chartered Wealth Management firm
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This is not just another paraplanning role. It is a structured career pathway within one of the most established Chartered wealth management firms in the UK.
With a strong internal culture of progression, direct exposure to high-quality advisers and clients, and genuine support towards becoming an adviser, this role is designed for ambitious paraplanners who want a long-term career move rather than a short-term step.
