Your new role
This role is initially being offered on a 12 month FTC basis. It is a part-time Assistant Management Accountant job in which you will work closely with the Finance Manager and Partner, supporting day-to-day finance operations and management accounts preparation. This is a varied role with both accounting and operational exposure, ideal for someone who enjoys a broad spectrum role. Key responsibilities include (but will not be limited to):
- Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Providing full support to month-end including balance sheet review/reconciliation, journals, P&L
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Maintaining fixed asset register
- Preparation of statutory reporting requirements including P11D, PSA, EMI
- Assisting with Power BI dashboard development to improve reporting
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business
- Supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
What you'll need to succeed
- Recent, relevant experience working in a similar Assistant Management accountant role
- Specific requirement to work on a part-time basis
- A bright, driven individual with strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- You will be part qualified/finalist, studying towards completing your accounting qualification.
- Experience in assisting with the preparation of management accounts and operational finance
- Background from industry, consultancy, or a smaller accountancy firm
- Strong Excel skills (inclusive of VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)
- Experience partnering with multiple stakeholders
- A proactive, hardworking attitude with maturity and strong communication skills
