Broster Buchanan are working with a values-led not-for-profit, and we're looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their friendly, supportive finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. • Producing first-stage analysis and variance commentary at month and year end
  • Supporting the preparation of forecasts and longer-term financial plans, including ongoing monitoring and reporting

What you'll bring:

  • Solid management accounting skills — budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting, with the ability to identify and explain variances
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, including explaining complex information to non-specialists
  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong IT skills, particularly across Microsoft Office, and an eye for using systems to support clear reporting

It would be great if you also had:

  • Part-qualification (or equivalent experience) towards a recognised accountancy qualification CCAB (ACA / CIMA / CIPFA / ACCA )
  • Experience with finance systems and reporting tools such as Power BI and SAP

What's in it for you:

  • Generous holiday entitlement of Annual Leave: c40 days paid holiday every year (including bank holidays)
  • Work Life/Family Balance: A commitment to helping you achieve a work life balance, including flexible working opportunities; generous family leave packages, including maternity, paternity, adoption/surrogacy and parental/partner leave
  • Skills Development: Access to professional, personal and leadership development.
  • Pensions: Access to one of three competitive pension schemes, with generous employer contributions;
  • Reward and Recognition: Competitive pay structures and reward policies;
  • Discounts and Expense Schemes: Save on shopping, public transport, cycling, healthcare and financial services.
