Headstar
Finance Manager (Part-Time) | Leeds City Centre | Up to £50,000 FTE | Flexible Working Pattern
Part-time finance roles are rare.
Part-time finance roles with genuine flexibility are even rarer.
This is one of those opportunities that stands out.
This is a innovative Leeds-based business that has built a culture people genuinely enjoy being part of. The finance function is well respected, the leadership team are approachable, and there is a real emphasis on making work fit around life rather than the other way around.
In fact, they have a dedicated member of staff whose primary role is looking after the wellbeing and happiness of the team. That probably tells you quite a lot about the type of environment they've created.
They're now looking for a Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while working on a part-time basis. The business is open-minded on how the role is structured and understands that flexibility means different things to different people.
Whether you're looking for shorter days, fewer days, school-friendly hours or a bespoke working pattern, they're happy to have that conversation.
What you'll be doing
- Managing the day-to-day finance function
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
- Cashflow management and reporting
- Business partnering with senior stakeholders
- Reviewing and improving financial processes where needed
- Supporting the wider leadership team with financial insight
What they're looking for
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar position
- Strong management accounting experience
- Ability to work independently and build relationships across the business
- A practical, hands-on approach
Why this role stands out
- Genuine flexibility around hours and working pattern
- Leeds city centre location
- Friendly, down-to-earth culture
- A business that places real importance on employee wellbeing
- Supportive leadership team who trust people to manage their workload
- The opportunity to make a meaningful contribution without committing to a traditional full-time role
If you've been waiting for a part-time finance opportunity that offers both flexibility and a genuinely positive working environment, this is well worth a conversation.
